Unique Hotel
In defining its form as a long inverted arch (almost 100 m in length) with two lateral concrete gables, we sought to characterize it as an urban-hotel concept. Access to the hotel is through the large void on the right side, while access to the Events Center is symmetrically through the large void on the left side. These two voids, which begin at a height of 25 m and descend in a curved line, constitute a strong element of the project’s urban character.
The circular windows, 1.80 m in diameter, allowed for a dynamic façade composition, further emphasized by the cladding of pre-oxidized copper panels in three shades of green.
The hotel is composed of 6 floors (totaling 96 guest rooms). On the ground floor, with a double-height and curved ceiling, are located the reception, bar, and support areas, where an entire wall of transparent glass was designed with great subtlety, enabling a “dialogue” between the hotel lobby and the city street. The restaurant, on the rooftop, achieves the necessary lightness through glass detailing and its metal structure, offering a privileged view of the city of São Paulo. The events center, located on the first basement level, consists of modular halls with a total capacity for 1,500 people. Three additional basement levels complete the building, housing parking and infrastructure areas.
The interior space follows the external design: the guest room corridors are curved, seeking natural light from the circular windows. The end rooms have an unusual feature: the floor rises in a curve, echoing the façade design, until it meets the ceiling, creating a completely distinctive spatial experience.
