The Berrini 500 building is a high-end commercial development designed for large corporations. It is located in the Marginal Pinheiros region, in Brooklin Novo. This is one of the areas of São Paulo that has increasingly attracted major national and multinational companies, establishing itself as the city’s new business corridor. A place where the city is at its most dynamic and modern.
When designing the Berrini 500 building, we sought to use an architectural language that would translate the dynamism of the companies that would occupy the site.

The project features a very striking presence on its main façade. Using only straight lines, an innovative effect was achieved: a large vertical wave that creates an unusual sense of movement and generates strong dynamism in the external space.

The floors are intersected by a long red slab that cuts through the building from the base to the crown. The exterior cladding consists of colored bands that alternate green laminated glass with white and beige granite panels, complementing the visual impact of the façade.

Adjacent to the entrance lobby, an exposed concrete canopy embraces the central slab and is suspended in the air, reinforcing the idea of movement and lightness.

The sinuous layout of waves and curves results from a bold play of volumes, with the slabs of the various floors advancing and receding. Five different variations of typical floors were created, differing from each other by 80 cm. Distributed harmoniously throughout the building, the floors appear alternately more projecting or more recessed, generating movement along the central slab.

Within the basic concept of the project, the dynamism of the façade creates an intriguing effect of light and shadow, highlighting the building both during the day and at night.

The building comprises 17 office floors, with private areas ranging from 667 to 730 m², capable of accommodating one or two independent office suites. Each half-floor includes a pantry, a men’s restroom, a women’s restroom, as well as provisions for the installation of a third private restroom.

Completed at the end of 2000, Berrini 500 enhances São Paulo’s urban space, reinforcing the city’s cosmopolitan and dynamic character.
