Iporanga Beach House

The Iporanga Beach House project is grounded in the site’s topography, distributing the spaces across different levels. Conceived as a large pavilion, the house connects its environments in a continuous manner, open to nature: the living room integrates with the swimming pool, while the dining room extends toward the barbecue area, both set within the garden. The architectural gesture seeks to transform the house into a large veranda.
In the same spirit, the materiality—through the use of wood and glass as enclosure solutions—reinforces the transparency and lightness of the ensemble, allowing the design of the window frames to create framed views of the landscape. The roof also follows this principle: it frames the surroundings through wooden louvers and brings the sky into the interior of the house, creating a play of solids and voids, light and shadow, which intensify the sensory experience of the space.
